Abstract:
In this paper Its hoped to understand why some appeals fail, specifically RDM and MRDM appeals. There is opinion and bias which is unavoidable in such a rough and ready review of appeals. If your on here your perspective is your choice, and if your actions bring you shame consider that maybe its the action thats the problem. There is good in all people, we all have our moments, let it be a learning experience.
Thesis:
If someone uses fallacies in appeals, then it will most likely fail, because fallacies can be refuted.

Results:
Ignorance seems to be a very common fallacy used in appeals, which is weird since to appeal you have to go on the forms where the rules are. Ad hominem seems to be the worst approach as attacking staff verbally seems to not go anywhere. Bandwagon is what it always has been and can be poked so full of holes one could mistake it for a strainer. The appeal to authority is often interesting as they try and grasp at straws and loose connections at best. The burden of proof argument is probably the worst one because it does not exactly endear you to the admins, by exclaiming your inability to provide the evidence that your ban was unwarranted, often demanding more evidence from admins gets more evidence from admins, and usually it's pretty detrimental to your case. Cherry picking always seems to be an odd idea for people to do with facts however some still try the issue is that admins often have logs, so when cherry picking one should be warry of omitting ones actions against the amoral truth of logs.
Conclusion:
The use of fallacies in arguments in general does not get positive results.
See chart attached for explanation of types of fallacies.
