Hello, I am here to bring a new suggestion that, if added to AtomicRP, will bring new life into it while not changing the economy at all and only adding to this already great server; this addon is WIRE linked here: Wiremod.com.
What is Wiremod?
Wiremod is a free addon that lets you use different logic gates, variables, random numbers to create complicated machines which can let you do almost anything you want, want to make a keypad door that opens automatically as you go near it, but only people you add to a whitelist? This addon can do that. Want to make a gambling game where you can get other people money ( unlike those placeable gambling games, like the slots in other addons )? You can do that with this addon too!
This addon also features Expression 2, which basically allows you to code anything you wish ( providing the server allows it, fully customizable within the config, so noob can fully control what players can and can't do ).
This sounds like lag with extra steps!
While yes, on the outside, it sounds like something that will cause the server a ton of lag ( like we need any more ), however, the addon has something called ops, basically, whenever you do something using Expression 2 / wire, the ops counter, counts up, once you reach a threshold within the Expression 2 / wire, it automatically shuts itself down; Noob can change this threshold within the config ( if this does get added), so if any chips do caus lag, it will be shut down pretty quickly, causing minimal lag for the server.
My recommendation is for the correct way to set this up.
If this does get added to the server, I recommend it to be only accessible by the supporter rank since people can abuse it ( can be prevented by having the correct config, disabling the abusable options, people who pay for supporter rank are less likely to abuse it), or have it be an additional purchase on the store ( maybe a monthly cost, if you're able to affect server performance, might as well help with the costs), and disable a few of the following options; propcore, holograms, soundplay, HTTP access, entity modification & console commands. I also recommend only giving access to a few chips ( Expression 2 chip, the EGP v3 screens, any others if you see fit).
Anything else that can go along with this?
Personally, if this gets added, I also recommend using TylerB's money addon ( here, also free ) as it allows easy money trading between players using the code within Expression 2 ( this feature brings up a check box that you have to accept if you wish to give money to players so that no one can take money without permission, you are also able to block yourself from receiving money requests from a user easily ).
