Why does the sun rise

The sun rises because the earth orbits around the sun, as well as rotates. The earth, as well as the rest of the solar system, is in a gravitational orbit around the sun. This is what gives us our year cycle as well as contributes to seasons. The second part of seasons due to the tilt earth has on its axis, meaning at different moments in its orbit, it will have warmer/cooler regions of the earth. The rotation of the earth is what give us our day night cycle as different faces of the earth are shown towards the sun at different points in time, meaning that some part of the world will be dark, while the rest is light, with a bit that are in limbo. A simple example for this would be having an orange sitting on a table, while circling it with a pencil at 30 degrees that is also rotating.
